Sharing Stories, Changing Lives, Creating Living Art
Peckham, in collaboration with Michigan State University’s Residential College in the Arts and Humanities and the MSU College of Engineering, is creating a dynamic public arts project entitled Art@Work.
Visiting artists and student volunteers collaborate with workers with disabilities from a wide range of cultural backgrounds in a series of art making dialogues resulting in the creation of individual pieces of artwork.
A celebration of diversity and inclusion, the Art@Work project will be visually represented in a mosaic installed on a 40 x 200-foot concrete wall at Peckham’s Lansing manufacturing facility.
Special thanks to Pioneer Construction for their donation of materials and labor to install the structure that will hold the mosaic, and to Integrated Architecture for finalizing the design to work with the existing structure.
