PECKHAM IN ACTION

Lansing, MI- Peckham received the Community Impact Award during the Michigan Manufacturers Association MFG Excellence Awards. The MFG Community Impact award recognizes a manufacturing business that has shown exemplary leadership in serving its community or state.

Peckham was recognized for its commitment to community service and advancing the manufacturing industry in the Lansing, Flint and Charlotte regions. Its Manufacturing division produced thousands of PPE items during the pandemic, collaborated with local universities and colleges to expand the arts and creative space for individuals with disabilities, established a Master Craftsman Sewer Apprenticeship program, advanced accessibility of community spaces and parks, and much more.

Peckham is a nonprofit vocational rehabilitation organization that provides paid job training opportunities for people with disabilities and other barriers to employment. For 46 years, Peckham has provided jobs and job skills training to thousands of individuals with barriers through five different business lines throughout Michigan, with additional operations in Phoenix, Arizona and London, Kentucky.
