Peckham Names New Chief of Human Services

LANSING, MI- James Caleb Adams has been named Peckham’s Chief of Human Services, Adams will be responsible for leading the CARF-accredited Human Services line of business in vocational rehabilitation.

Adams began his career at Peckham in 2005 as a Vocational Services Specialist and has worked in a variety of roles within the Human Services department. Most recently, Adams has served as the Vice President of Rehabilitation Services.

As the Chief Human Services Officer, Adams is responsible for managing a Human Services leadership team of more than 150 individuals that leads nearly 30 key programs and services, including Adjudicated Youth and Young Adults, Career Placement Services, Vocational Rehabilitation Services and Job Placement Partnerships with Capitol Area Michigan Works, the State of Michigan, and the Veterans Administration.

Adams received his Bachelors in Psychology/English from Spring Arbor University, a Masters in Counseling from Spring Arbor University, and a Masters in Business Administration from Michigan State University. Adams is also a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Michigan.

Peckham is a nonprofit vocational rehabilitation organization that provides paid job training opportunities for people with disabilities and other barriers to employment. For more than 42 years, Peckham has provided jobs and job skills training to thousands of individuals with barriers through five different business lines throughout Michigan, and also has operations in Phoenix, Arizona and London, Kentucky.
