PECKHAM IN ACTION

The Peckham Community Partnership Foundation will host its biannual series featuring Wesley Hamilton, physical and mental health advocate, CNN Hero, and executive director of the organization Disabled But Not Really, on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2022. Hamilton will share his story of turning tragedy into triumph in a morning and afternoon session.

As a survivor of multiple gunshot wounds to the abdomen, which left him paralyzed from the waist down, Hamilton will share his personal journey from how he went from hopeless and depressed to a life full of purpose, understanding, acceptance, joy, and forgiveness.

This free event is open to all who are interested. For the first time since the pandemic, Peckham is opening its doors to an external audience and will also live-stream the event during both sessions, which include an interactive Q&A session to follow. The morning session will take place from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. and the afternoon from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. All sessions will take place at 3510 Capital City Blvd. | Lansing, MI | 48906. Whether you attend in-person or online, registration is required.

Interested individuals should register here. Morning Session or Afternoon Session.
If interested in a pre-event interview, please contact Shavonne Lewis, Peckham Senior Brand & Outreach Manager at shlewis@peckham.org
