Art From The Heart
At Peckham, we believe that creative expression can be a vital part of an individual’s personal and professional growth. Peckham’s art program, Art from the Heart, exists to offer opportunities for creative experiences to people with disabilities and other barriers.
Peckham’s art studio is a non-judgmental, supportive space in which artists have the freedom to pursue their creative practice at their own pace. We believe that making, observing, and engaging with the creative arts can work to grow an individual’s confidence, self-awareness, joy, and community connection.
Art from the Heart advocates for artists with disabilities to have the opportunity to participate in the greater art community. We routinely engage with our community to increase awareness of the creative potential of people with disabilities, and to provide our artists with opportunities to exhibit and sell their artwork.
Art from the Heart is supported by the Peckham Community Partnership Foundation.

Peckham Veteran Services
Peckham values work place diversity and firmly believes that it makes our organization stronger. Peckham understands the inherent dedication, integrity, and honor that come with employing veterans and welcomes them into our diverse workforce.
Peckham is continuously working with local and state organizations and businesses to aid in the promotion of hiring our nation’s veterans. We actively recruit and encourage veterans to apply for both staff and team member positions.
We recognize the unique needs of the men and women who have served our country, or are still serving in the Guard or Reserves, and are proud to offer employment opportunities to those who have recently transitioned into the civilian workforce.
Peckham creates a supportive environment for qualified veterans, offering paid training for jobs in IT Services, Supply Chain Management, and Manufacturing. These positions provide the opportunity for a veteran to gain transferable job skills, while continuing to connect with fellow veterans who offer peer support and insight.
Hiring veterans is not only the right thing to do, it also makes good business sense. Veterans bring skills, an outstanding work ethic and a solid foundation of values to the workplace and become highly productive employees. By becoming a MVAA Certified Veteran- Friendly Employer, Peckham is declaring to the veteran community that we recognize the importance of hiring veterans and we pledge to actively seek out veteran applicants and encourage them to seek employment with our organization. We will educate our managers and supervisors on the value of hiring veterans, and provide them with the tools they need to effectively manage veteran employees. We will continually recognize and support our country's veterans and their families in appreciation for their service and sacrifice to our county.
